This program reveals how a shy, skinny boy from Chicago’s northwest side created a magazine that changed America.  Hugh Hefner battled the Catholic Archdiocese, Mayor Richard J. Daley and the Democratic machine, and city prosecutors.  I crisscrossed the country to interview the Playmates and bunnies, writers and editors who forged this long-forgotten Windy City chapter in Playboy’s history.
